FRIENDS UNIVERSITY FINE ARTS
Music • Theatre & Dance • Visual Arts • Communications
Friends University Fine Arts has a wide variety of workshops, performances and special events open to schools to benefit students. These include school-only theatre matinees, virtual and in-person clinics, art competitions, dance classes and more. You might have heard about Sing It, All-State Music Festival, Show Me the Money, Art Challenge and Pre-Festival Band Clinic, to name a few of our outreach-focused initiatives. We frequently bring in high school band and choir groups, and have worked in collaboration with organizations such as Christian Performance Theatre (formerly CYT) and the Wichita Community Children’s Choir, not to mention the smaller ensembles that perform mini-concerts in the schools. We love to bring guest artists and clinicians in from around the world, and are overjoyed we get to share their expertise. Please contact the Fine Arts office to get a full list of ways we can help engage your students.
