Zooreach in Preschool (ZIP)
People kindergarten and older will enjoy animals and artifacts during a 45-minute ZooReach program. Animal Tales programs are available for Pre-K and kindergarten groups. Amazing Animal Assembly is designed for groups of 70 people or more in 1st through 5th Grade. Programs include stories, animal artifacts, conservation science, and a live animal visitor. Please schedule your educational programs at least two weeks prior to your visit.
While there are not pure art programs for school groups, the Zoo is an excellent site for creative writing, photography, sketching, and painting.
Sculpture and Landscapes
The Zoo has a growing collection of realistic animal sculptures placed throughout the grounds. Landscape architecture and horticulture are other prime areas for observation and study.
