Classroom Adventures

Let us take you on a virtual tour of the Zoo or present a program about a specific topic to your students!

Visit the Zoo using most web-based platforms. We are currently able to use Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Feel free to contact us if you use an alternate platform. All Zoom sessions are sold through the Sedgwick County Zoo website at https://scz.org/?_package_id=2148. Please indicate your Zoo area or animal preference during registration (for example: Prairie, Elephants, Tropics, Horticulture). We also offer any ZooReach program as a virtual experience. Each distance learning adventure lasts approximately 30 minutes. Prices vary depending on the number of screens. A Zoo Educator will lead your distance learning adventure.

Arts Opportunities

While there are not pure art programs for school groups, the Zoo is an excellent site for creative writing, photography, sketching, and painting.

Sculpture and Landscapes

The Zoo has a growing collection of realistic animal sculptures placed throughout the grounds. Landscape architecture and horticulture are other prime areas for observation and study.
