Performance
Artist
Safira Zeki
Safira Zeki is a versatile teacher, choreographer and performer of world dance. She has studied dance in Cairo, Bangalore and New York, and has staged 6 concerts at Century II’s Mary Jane Teall Theater. In her Arts Partners programs, she shares her knowledge and love of world cultures through the dances of many countries, from North Africa and the Mediterranean region to Spain. Owner of Safira’s Center for World Dance, she believes that through movement–first by learning, then by sharing with others in performance–we promote a greater friendship between cultures.
