Discover the history of African Americans with Kansas connections, a journey that travels through time and around the state. Learn about great African American history makers and their Kansas connections. Go from Kansas to Africa in the “Africa to Kansas” Core Collection, an assemblage of art and artifacts including musical instruments, jewelry, and everyday objects—like neck rests, dishes  and chairs, as well as ceremonial masks and headdresses along with fabrics, paintings and statues.
