Scarf Dying

Learn problem solving skills to determine how the colors will blend and complement each other when applied to fabric. Students will refine and complete an artist work using fabric and tissue paper. Students can create abstract images or cut shapes and letters to make a scene.

Malissa Long has helped lead Generation STEAM, is the Textile Lead at MakeICT, and is a current member of The Arts Council of Wichita. She has a variety of sewing experience with both children and adults. She loves to explore the bounds of her sewing machine and has used her sewing machine to create art to wearables with zippers and almost anything you can imagine in between.
