Darts are wedge shapes in a pattern that are used to control fullness and to shape a garment to your body. On a bodice, for example, darts serve to shape the fabric around the curves of the bust. Learn what tools a pattern maker uses and learn how to adjust the darts on a bodice to change the shape of the garment. We will be working on quarter size pattern pieces. Please bring pencil eraser, and photos for inspiration.
Appropriate for ages: Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, Grade 12
