Floating Express
Participants will learn about the world of hot air balloons, gliders, parachutes, and kites while learning the principles that allows air to help them fly. Emphasis will be placed on the four forces of flight: lift, drag, thrust, and gravity. This is a good introduction to physics concepts for younger students. Each grade level will complete a hands-on activity and/or design challenge at the end.
Program can be offered at the museum or at the school, and can be tailored to your grade level.
