Embroidery Journal

Highly engaging workshop on a new way to journal! Students will learn embroidery to reinforce vocabulary words, analyze language, and transfer daily activities through imagery onto muslin. They will activate responsible decision making and synthesize and relate knowledge and personal experiences to make art.

Costs: $209 (two 45-minute workshops plus planning meeting) plus $5 supplies per student

Malissa Long

Malissa Long has helped lead Generation STEAM, is the Textile Lead at MakeICT, and is a current member of The Arts Council of Wichita. She has a variety of sewing experience with both children and adults. She loves to explore the bounds of her sewing machine and has used her sewing machine to create art to wearables with zippers and almost anything you can imagine in between.
