Workshop can be tailored to specific needs of group. This can include rudimental warm ups, rudimental cadences and instruction on specific music. This includes instruction for snare drums, tenor drums, bass drums and cymbals.

Appropriate for ages: Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, Grade 12

Max Audience: One class
Costs: Residency of 3-5 workshops. Three-session option: $294, four-session option: $379, five-session option: $464. (Each residency includes a planning meeting and 45-minute sessions with the same students.)

Luke Swearingen

Luke Swearingen is a local percussionist and educator. He has a bachelor’s degree from WSU and Masters in Music from Cleveland State University. He has studied percussion abroad in the countries of Ghana and Trinidad. He performs for the WSU Modern Dance Ensemble and has performed with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and Canton Symphony Orchestra. He is happy to have reconnected with Wichita Arts Partners as an artist and clinician.
