A Through Z Boxes
A great resource for classroom use, our Check-Out Boxes can add a lot to your science curriculum. We have A-Z Boxes that focus on a specific animal. STEAM Kits include an experiment or a hands-on activity suitable for two to four students to engage at the same time. STEAM Boxes include books, animal artifacts, and topical information centered on a singular topic such as How Animals Eat. Investigation Stations and STEM Safari boxes are designed for one classroom at a time and supplement your curriculum around the Kansas State Standards for Science. The $15 deposit is refundable if all materials are returned on time and in good condition.

Arts Opportunities
While there are not pure art programs for school groups, the Zoo is an excellent site for creative writing, photography, sketching, and painting.
Sculpture and Landscapes
The Zoo has a growing collection of realistic animal sculptures placed throughout the grounds. Landscape architecture and horticulture are other prime areas for observation and study.
