Artists to Authors Fellowship

Artists to Authors is a competitive, paid fellowship offered by Arts Partners in collaboration with Storytime Village and the Wichita Public Library. 

Fellows will learn to develop a culturally relevant children’s book for publication and produce a video, both focused on increasing K-2nd grade literacy and social/emotional skills. Fellows will receive a $1000 stipend. 

Published books will be added to the Advanced Learning Library’s collection and used to inspire arts integrated learning in elementary classrooms in Wichita and surrounding districts.

Virtual Q&A: Saturday November 20th from 2-3pm 

Deadline to Apply: December 10th, 2021

Notification: December 20th, 2021 

Class meets once a week on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:00pm

January 13th- May 5th (no class during spring break, March 7th-11th)
