StorytellingStudents are introduced to the art of storytelling as the artist tells folktales. Stories are selected to relate to the curriculum. One story is told upon which students focus during the remainder of the sessions. Students participate in activities designed to examine the story's sequence, structure, character, setting, problem, and resolution. Students will add details and change story elements to create an original version.

These skills all apply directly to my students' performances on their oral and written IB exams. Storytelling and improvisational speaking are important life skills.
